Design of CPE programs: CPE program content may include recap of knowledge tested in the Certification exams and incremental changes in regulations as well as market practices. Hence it is essential that the interested companies should engage the Certified CPE resource Faculties on their board. The interested candidates will develop the program outline in consultation with the industry and Empaneled CPE Faculties and also provide broad guidelines for the development of the program. Riskpro will evaluate and approve the program before it is offered for delivery. CPE programs will initially be developed specific to each Riskpro/Indiaforensic certifications. However, over a period of time, Riskpro welcome development of CPE programs that may cater to different verticals like Risk Management, Financial Management, Information Security, Computer aided audit tools. Riskpro will issue broad content guidelines for all CPE programs in respect of various intermediaries. Currently, CPE will be provided for the topics provided in the Approved Training Topics which have already been put in place. However, the ideas of providing the CPE in the accounting profession for the CPA, CFE, CISA and CIA are welcome. Riskpro will also develop broad guidelines for various modules within the overall framework for every CPE. The CPE programs conducted by CPE providers may be a 3 hours module or a 6 hours module. Organizations who wish to have an in-house CPE program, may be allowed to do so only if they tie-up with one of the accredited providers and there is no conflict of interest Riskpro may assign different credit weights to different CPE programs depending on
Riskpro may also assign credit weights to programs organised by Riskpro/Indiaforensic which would depend on the applicability of the program to any of the existing CPE program for intermediaries. CPE Delivery: Accredited CPE providers need to provide only physical delivery of CPE programs as of now. Delivery mode for mandatory CPE programs may include Seminars, Conferences, Training Programmes, and Workshops. Accreditation: Riskpro may engage multiple Organizations as accredited CPE providers and accredit them as per laid down criteria and standards. For each accredited entity, separate approvals for different CPE modules would be given by Riskpro depending on their expertise in those modules. Further, training content/material/methodology of accredited CPE providers may be evaluated against course content guidelines developed by Riskpro and approved provided they meet Riskpro requirements. Riskpro will also approve trainers being used by the accredited CPE provider to ensure quality of training. Accreditation shall be granted for a maximum period of 2 years initially and renewed thereafter for an appropriate period, as decided by Riskpro on a case-to-case basis. Riskpro shall have the absolute discretion to terminate the accreditation on valid grounds, to be recorded in writing by Riskpro. Riskpro/Indiaforensic will monitor the quality of such CPE courses and shall have the absolute discretion to terminate the accreditation, where Riskpro is satisfied that there is enough cause to do so. Termination may be due to poor quality of delivery or inefficient handling of programs or repeated complaints from candidates or any other reasons as may have to the notice of and/or to be decided by Riskpro from time to time. Process for Application: Riskpro invites applications from suitable organizations for accreditation as CPE Providers for conducting Riskpro CPE programs through workshops, seminars, conferences and training programs.
Only those applicants who score at least 70% marks would become eligible for accreditation. The number of organizations accredited would depend upon the demand for continuing professional education programmes at a given point in time. Therefore, mere meeting of eligibility criteria (i.e. scoring 70% and higher) would not automatically lead to accreditation. Accreditation Process: Steps in the accreditation process: Step 1: Interested organizations submit the application form in the prescribed format with all supporting documents; Step 2: Riskpro evaluates the information provided by the applicants; Step 3: Riskpro, where required, seeks further information and/or visits specified applicant locations for inspection; Step 4: Riskpro evaluation presented to the CPE Accreditation Committee for shortlisting of applicants; Step 5: CPE Committee may meet and interact with representatives of shortlisted applicants , if required; Step 6: CPE Committee makes recommendations to Riskpro after scrutiny based on which Riskpro takes the final decision. Step 7: Riskpro communicates the decision to the selected applicants; Step 8: In case accreditation is granted, Riskpro enters into an agreement with the accredited CPE provider for the purpose. Step 9: On the signing of the agreement, Riskpro adds the organization to the list of accredited organizations in its communications
